Elephants at Work - Tour No.03

You will leave Chiang Mai in an Air-conditioned bus and drive for approximately one hour to the Elephant Camp where you will be able to see the Elephants at work.

 

What to bring?

 

Some Thai Baht for Bananas or bring your own.

 

Tours leave daily from Chiang Mai, 8.30am to 12.30pm

Half Day Elephant Care no Riding - Tour No.50

Twice daily:

 

6.30-7.00 a.m.–1.00 p.m.

 

11.30-12.00 p.m.–6.00 p.m.

 

Drive about 1.5 hours south of Chiang Mai, through rolling hills, forests, and local farming areas.

 

Arrive at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary and change into traditional Karen clothing.

 

Meet the elephants; feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment as you learn about their behavior and history.

 

Take photos with the elephants.

 

Then, enjoy a mud spa with the elephants. Walk with them to a nearby river, and bathe them there.

 

Morning programs include snacks and seasonal fruits.

One Day Elephant Care no Riding - Tour No.51

We travel to a special place established by local elephant lovers.

 

Here, you can stay close to the daily life of elephants and mahouts, learn about elephants’ secret command language (without using hook or nails), and prepare herbal medicine for elephants.

 

You can bathe and play with a baby elephant, but we will not provide elephant riding.

 

08.00–08.30 a.m. Pickup from your hotel, drive north of Chiang Mai to Mauang Kued village, Mae Taeng District. 

 

09.30 a.m. Arrive at Chang Thai Heritage, change into a traditional mahout costume.

 

10.00 a.m. Prepare food and feed elephants, get to know elephant secrets.

 

12.00 p.m. Lunch.

 

13.00–14.30 p.m. Learn about and make herbal medicines for elephants, then walk around the jungle with the elephants (our guide will explain about herbal plants), walk to the river to bathe the elephants, scrubbing them down.

 

15.30 p.m. Leisure time.

 

16.00 p.m. Depart from the elephant park and arrive back at your hotel around 17.00 p.m.

One Day Elephant Trekking Care no Riding - Tour No.52

Feed bananas and grasses to elephants; earn how to take care of elephants; make traditional medicine from natural ingredients; natural scrubbing; bathe elephants.

 

8.00–8.30 a.m. Pickup from Chiang Mai.

 

10.00 a.m. Arrive at the elephant park.

 

12.00 noon. Lunch. 

 

1.00 p.m. Trek about 1.5 hours to a waterfall for refreshment.

 

3.00 p.m. Enjoy whitewater rafting and bamboo rafting.

 

6.00 p.m. Arrive back in Chiang Mai.

Patara Elephant Training Camp - Tour No.40

Duration 5-8 hours

 

Free transportation to and from your hotel and a traditional picnic lunch.

 

You will take care of your own elephant for the whole day.

 

You will learn to take care of and ride your elephant bare-back through the Jungle.

 

DVD photo and video clips of your training are available.

 

We will provide you with any equipment and training outfits.
