Black and White Temple Chiang Rai

One day tour of the famous Black and White Temples in Chiang Rai

On this tour, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive for about one hour, stopping to visit Mae Kajan natural hot spring.

We will stay here for about 30 minutes, then drive for about 1.40 hours to visit the White Temple.

Perhaps the most unique temple in the Kingdom of Thailand, the White Temple was born from the devotion of National Artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. A deeply de-vout Buddhist famed primarily for his religiously themed paintings, Chalerm-chai began work on the White Temple in 1997.

Wat Rong Khun, however, is no traditional temple.  Chalermchai reimag-ines Thai art for the modern world.

We will have lunch along the way and after lunch will stop to visit the Black Temple.

Everything at Baan Dam is black, or at least gives off a dark aura, and each one of the 15 buildings is em-bellished and furnished with animal remains.

Afterward, there is an option to visit a long-neck village.

We return to Chiang Mai around 6.30 p.m.
